Based in Berwick, Louisiana, Hanko's Metal Works Inc. specializes in aluminum boats of all types and sizes. We are known as one of the most rugged and well manufactured aluminum boats on the water today. Since 1985, we have delivered over 3,000 boats, ranging from pirogues (pronounced pee-row) to 52' work barges. We believe in quality craftsmanship to ensure every Hanko boat delivered meets the criteria for safety, quality and dependability that our customers expect.
Throughout the years we have developed various types of boats used for environmental clean up, crew boats, push barges, and various types of pleasure craft. We were a large supplier of boats for the 2010 Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill.
All of our boats are built to customer specs. We take time with every customer and cover all the details from the bow to the stern. We may offer suggestions as well to aid you in the design of your custom aluminum boat. Hanko boats are truly a maintenance free, lifetime boat. This is the reason you rarely find a used Hanko boat for sale. Hanko boats have the highest resale value.
We have a 35,000 square foot facility spanning across 3 acres. We started out with two employees and have since grown to over 35. Hanko's Metal Works, Inc. has teamed up with Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Evinrude and Mercury to provide proven and reliable boat and motor packages. With full time mechanics on staff, we service everything we sell. If we do not get the chance to build your boat, we would still like the chance to earn your outboard service.
